More UK Expansion With New Regional Office for Kleinwort Benson

Kleinwort Benson, London-based wealth management subsidiary of Dresdner Bank, is opening a Leeds office. The new office will provide wealth management services to high net worth individuals, executives and entrepreneurs across the north east of England. Kleinwort Benson’s development of a regional network reflects the changing pattern of wealth distribution in the UK, the firm says, catering to an increasing demand for wealth management in the regions. Over the past twelve months, Kleinwort Benson has opened offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Newbury and Cambridge. The Leeds office will provide an extensive offering to local individuals, ranging from banking, fiduciary services and investment management advice to enterprising initiatives, including tax-efficient structured products, pensions advice and absolute return investments. The Leeds office is headed by Carl Ward, who joined Kleinwort Benson in October 2007 as head of Leeds, Private Wealth Management, having worked previously for Chase de Vere Private Clients and chartered accountants Robson Rhodes. The office will also be staffed by lead bankers David Archer and Jonathan Marsden. Mr Archer started with Standard Life as a broker consultant before going independent in 1990. Mr Marsden joined Kleinwort Benson in October 2007, also from Chase de Vere Private Clients.
